Zuper is seeking a Webmaster & Digital Experience Manager to serve as the principal owner of Zuper’s web presence. This person will operate as a strategic technical leader who treats the website as a product, driving conversion rate optimization, design quality, content freshness, site performance, and AI/search visibility across Zuper’s digital footprint.

The ideal candidate brings a product-oriented mindset to web management: they think in terms of business outcomes (not just rankings), partner cross-functionally with engineering and design as a peer, and have the technical depth to enforce quality standards at the code level. SEO knowledge is important but secondary. Zuper has agency support for technical SEO execution. What we need is a strategic web leader who understands SEO well enough to direct it while owning the broader digital experience.

This role is based in Chennai, India and reports to Zuper’s CRO.

What You’ll Own
Website as a Product
  • Own Zuper’s website end-to-end as a product: performance, conversion, content quality, design standards, and technical health.
  • Drive continuous CRO: A/B testing, user intent validation, landing page optimization—to measurably improve conversion rates.
  • Lead the phase 2 rollout: update legacy branded pages with refreshed design, content, and architecture aligned to the new site.
  • Push the limits on design and content quality in partnership with Zuper’s in-house design team, operating as a peer contributor.
  • Maintain and improve site architecture, Core Web Vitals, page speed, structured data, and overall technical foundation.
  • Own content freshness: ensure dated content is identified, updated, or retired on a regular cadence.
Quality & Process Rigor
  • Establish and enforce a bulletproof preflight process: nothing goes live without meeting clear standards for QA, SEO, accessibility, and performance.
  • Define and maintain CMS requirements including schema markup, HTML validity, and Core Web Vitals compliance.
  • Review and approve intake requests for web optimization; work with Engineering to delegate and prioritize tasks.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for intake, SLA tracking, performance KPIs, and quality adherence.
SEO & AI Visibility (Strategic Direction)
  • Set the strategic direction for Zuper’s SEO across technical, content, and off-page initiatives—partnering with our SEO agency for execution support.
  • Expand visibility beyond traditional search by optimizing for AI search and large language models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
  • Develop strategies to increase Zuper’s inclusion and accuracy in AI-generated answers through better citations, structured data, and content optimization.
  • Build scalable, programmatic SEO systems that grow organic reach and strengthen topical authority across key user journeys.
  • Provide technical guidance on Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, and CMS configurations.
  • Collaborate across Product, Content, and Web Engineering teams to embed SEO and AI visibility best practices throughout development cycles.
Web Infrastructure & Platform
  • Manage redirect strategies using Cloudflare, and oversee DNS, CDN, web security, and cached content delivery.
  • Oversee robots.txt and sitemap accuracy, error mitigation, and performance reporting.
  • Drive the mapping of current-state vs. future-state processes as tools and platforms adopt AI-driven experiences.

What Makes You a Great Fit
Must-Haves
  • 8+ years of experience spanning web development, site management, and digital strategy (with SEO knowledge, though not necessarily a pure SEO career path).
  • Product-oriented mindset: you approach the website as a product to be optimized, not just a collection of pages to be maintained.
  • Strong web development skills: hands-on proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (HubSpot CMS, WordPress, or similar).
  • Proven experience leading website redesigns, migrations, or significant site overhauls end-to-end.
  • CRO and experimentation experience: A/B testing, conversion optimization, user intent analysis.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and design teams as a peer—not just a requestor.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and self-direction. You identify problems proactively, propose solutions, and push limits without waiting to be told.
  • Experience working with or reporting to US/Western stakeholders, clients, or headquarters: comfortable with direct communication, independent decision-making, and outcomes-oriented working style.  
Strong Preferences
  • B2B SaaS experience, ideally at a company with a US-based go-to-market motion.
  • Demonstrated AI-forward thinking: you’ve already started optimizing for AI/LLM discovery channels, not just traditional search.
  • Experience with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) at a strategic level: you know what the data means, even if you’re not running every crawl yourself.
  • Experience with Cloudflare CDN, web security, DNS management, and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building dashboards and reports (GA4, Looker Studio, PowerBI).
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior web developers or coordinators.
  • MBA, international education, or experience at a company with a Western product culture
Nice-to-Haves
  • Familiarity with field service, trades, or related SMB industries.
  • Experience with Google Ads and SEM.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Asana).
  • Experience with advanced web technologies: J2EE, PHP, JSP, or similar server-side frameworks.
